Asus Tuf Gaming A17, A Budget Gaming Laptop.

Asus is always growing up day by day in the gaming industry as Asus has many laptop series but two main series are Rog and Tuf, The Rog is a premium segment gaming laptop series where Tuf is a budget segment gaming laptop series,
So here the news is about Asus new laptop of Tuf series which is Asus Tuf gaming A17 which is a combination of AMD CPU and Nvidia GPU,
The new Asus Tuf Gaming A17 powered by AMD Ryzen’s latest generation CPU, and powered by Nvidia GPU.


Asus Tuf gaming A17 laptop comes with latest Ryzen 4000 series CPU and Nvidia GPU, it has two variants first one comes with AMD Ryzen 5 4600H CPU and another comes with Ryzen 7 4800H CPU, and both laptop comes with Nvidia GTX 1660ti 6gb gddr6 VRAM dedicated graphics, The laptop comes with 8 GB DDR4 3200MHz SDRAM for the base model and it has 2 x SO-DIMM socket for expansion you can expand ram up to 32gb.


The Asus tuf gamin A17 comes with a 15.6-inch LED-backlit FHD nano edge display with 45% NTSC which has 1920×1080 resolution and again the laptop base model has a 60HZ refresh rate and the top model has 120HZ refresh rate which is amazing and more than enough for smooth gameplay.

Design and Interface

The new Asus tuf gaming A17 has a cool design which makes this laptop a choice for a true gamer the dimension of the laptop is 399.2 x 268.9 x 23.38 ~26 mm (WxDxH)/399.2 x 268.9 x 23.99 ~25.2 mm (WxDxH) and the laptop’s weight is only 2.6 kg which sound’s good for a gaming laptop so there is no portability issue you can travel with this laptop. Asus claims about it’s toughness that the laptop passed all tests of military-grade ‘MIL-STD’-810H which makes it durable for daily life sometimes accidentally it falls on the floor it might be not an issue.

so let’s talk about right side so in the right side there is a Kensington lock port and a USB 2.0 port which is for connecting your peripheral devices like keyboard and mouse, In the left side, there is an AC adapter plug, RJ-45 ethernet port, HDMI port 2.0b, a Type-C USB 3.2 (Gen 2) port with display supportDP1.4, 2 Type-A USB 3.2 (Gen 1) port, and an audio jack.


In terms of battery this laptop comes with 48 Wh lithium-polymer battery for the base model and 90 Wh lithium-polymer battery for the top model as Asus claims it provides up to 12.3 hours of video playback. The output of its charger is 20 V DC, 9 A, 180 W for the base model and 20 V DC, 7.5 A, 150 W for top model and the input for both is 100 -240 V AC, 50/60 Hz universal.


The laptop has 1TB 5400 rpm SATA hard disk and 256GB/512GB/1TB PCIe® Gen3 SSD which makes the performance of the laptop better.

Keyboard and trackpad

The laptop comes with a chicklet keyboard with isolated Numpad key, Trackpad of the laptop is very responsive and supports all gesture.

The starting price of the laptop according to china is 656 USD which is 45000 rupees in Indian currency but the price would be increased in India with an additional tax of 15000-20000 rupees which is worth and the starting price might be around 55000-65000 rupees.
