The Maharashtra cabinet has recommended the imposition of a “stringent lockdown” and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray may make an announcement in this regard on Wednesday. This information was given by a senior minister here. Public Works Minister Eknath Shinde and Health Minister Rajesh Tope also informed that the cabinet has decided to cancel the exams of the state board for Class X examinations.
The minister said after Tuesday’s cabinet meeting that in the past two weeks, the coronavirus cases have been coming to more than 50 thousand in the past two weeks, but people are violating the restrictions on movement and gathering of people.
“All cabinet ministers favored a stringent lockdown to minimize the spread of Covid-19,” Tope said. The ministers are from all regions of the state, so this indicates that this measure needs to be implemented across the state. “Tope said,” Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray can make an official announcement tomorrow about the tough measures. ” He said that the cabinet also decided that the examination of the state board of class X should be canceled.
