California Covid, the US state with the largest population of Indian-Americans, will supply life-saving oxygen to India to control the current wave of COVID-19 cases. The second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic is underway in India. More than three lakh cases of coronavirus infection are being reported daily for the last few days and there is a shortage of medical oxygen and beds in various hospitals.
California Governor Gavin Newsum shared the information about the first consignment to be sent to India on Monday, saying that everyone should get the same quality treatment to fight this dreaded disease and California will listen and help the voice of the people of India, Those who desperately need it.
California-based support includes 275 oxygen concentrators, 440 oxygen cylinders, 240 oxygen regulators, 210 pulse oximeters, and a deployable oxygen concentrator system (COCS), capable of generating 120 liters of oxygen per minute.
It is generally used to fill large cylinders. These life-saving materials are being distributed in collaboration with the International Development Agency of America. This will be provided directly to the healthcare providers and personnel deployed on the advance front.
