There is a lack of oxygen in the country amid the growing infection of the coronavirus epidemic. Keeping this in mind, it has been decided to run Oxygen Express on behalf of Railways. At present, an Oxygen Express from Bokaro has left for Lucknow which will reach Lucknow tomorrow morning. In the midst of all this, the Railway Board President said that the Railway Central has been asked to transport medical oxygen in Delhi, Andhra Pradesh.

The Railway Board Chairman said that the Delhi Government has just sent us a request for some ‘Oxygen Express‘ trains, they have been asked to keep the trucks ready.

The Railway Board Chairman said that Delhi’s oxygen demand is likely to be met by Rourkela, while Andhra Pradesh’s demand is likely to be met by Angul, Odisha. Each tanker of ‘Oxygen Express‘ carries 16 tonnes of oxygen. The Chairman of the Railway Board said that on April 19, the first LMO Express was run between Mumbai and Visakhapatnam after the Maharashtra government requested to run the train for the transport of liquid medical oxygen. After this, on April 22, the second LMO Express train from Lucknow to Bokaro was run.

The Maharashtra government decided on Tuesday that grocery and food shops in the state will be open from 7 am to 11 am till May 1. The government has taken this decision keeping in view the fast-growing cases of Coronavirus infection. The new restrictions will be effective from 8 am on Tuesday night to 7 am on May 1. The state has been witnessing more than 50,000 cases of infection every day for the last two weeks on average. Several other restrictions are already in effect under the state’s ‘Break the Chain’ program.

The new order has been given by the state’s Department of Disaster Management and Relief and Rehabilitation. According to the order, “Grocery, vegetable, fruit, dairy, bakery, confectionery, chicken, mutton, mother, fish egg, all kinds of food items, agricultural commodities shops, pet food shops, rain Weather stores will open from 7 am to 11 am.

It states that home delivery from such shops can be done from seven in the morning to eight in the night, but the local administration can change the time as required.
